Granny Fishes House in Wartrace

Very rustic appearance, old country farmhouse! Service was good even though it was very busy. Hushpuppies were great and not greasy, and were baseball sized and free refills. I had the ribeye and it was seared perfectly, crispy outside and medium inside. The fried mushrooms were great and fresh. I tried some of the trout and it was very good. I was told the catfish was good but I'm not a fan of catfish. We will be Back!

Very much out of the way but very much worth the trip! It was my first visit but will not be my last. Fell in love with the hush puppies!

Ordered whole catfish plate. Food was great. Best hushpuppies around anywhere! My only issue there is they bring you too many hushpuppies while you are waiting on your food so.you fill up before food arrives and you are not too hungry and waste a lot of good food. Tea is always good and some of the best desserts around. Great service by the server staff. Overall, a great experience. Nice big porch outside to sit and rest after a big meal! Usually really crowded on Friday nights so be prepared to wait a little while but worth it!

This was one of my favorite places to eat. The hush puppies are delish but tonight the grilled trout was Terrible! We waited an hour for our food we were seated At 445 no food till 550. The fries were Cold and greasy and trout was soggy with black char on it. Very disappointed in this place it use to be so good. Not sure what happened but it seemed like the fish was being cooked a whole different way than it has been for years.

Best catfish around! The hush puppies are amazing as well. The slaw isn’t for me, and I’m a slaw person. There’s plenty of other options to choose from though. They only take cash, be warned! The only true complaint I have about this place is their wonky hours. But if I could abbreviate my work week and stay viable, I would as well! Keep it up, Granny Fishes’! 😊

I was expensive for the amount of food given, and was a bit tricky to find, however the atmosphere was nice and cozy for those who like being in the country. I enjoyed going here with a large group of people. The good was good as well.

Took a while to get drinks first sitting down but the food was great, there was lots of nice decor, and was just an overall good time. Recommend coming here

Cozy, local, hole in the wall. Good food, and friendly staff, the whole experience was good. Weekend hours may be a little frustrating, but you wont be disappointed. Definitely a favorite of locals, and seating is first come first serve, so be prepared for a wait if you go during peak hours, cash only payments folks.

It was all right ...wife and I both had trout fillet dinners....trout was good and service was good and not much of a crowd when we was there at 3pm but hush puppies were alil cold and greasy tasting and potatoes were warm but inching towards the not fresh baked side

If I could rate higher than a 5 I would. One of the best places around. The staff is friendly. The location is set out in the country and is very quiet and peaceful. It gives you the chance to eat great food and slow down from your busy day to day life. The food portions are huge. I can never finish my entire meal. The prices are perfect for the amount of food you receive. A must go to place if your ever looking for a new experience.

We would never have found this but one of our good friends took us to Granny fishes. It is very rustic inn casual but the catfish and trout were unbelievably good. They serve cornbread fritters with every meal. the waitress we had was excellent and she had a large number of tables but she was still keeping up with us. I can only recommend the catfish and trout cuz I've only been there one time but I expect we'll be back many times. I believe this place gets unbelievably busy as well because we were there at 5:30 sharp and it was getting very busy when we got there.

Only a place as good as Granny Fishes' could thrive in the middle of nowhere, being open three days a week, and taking only cash. It is THAT good. I'm sure the frog legs and trout are wonderful (my fellow diners have said so), but there is nothing but CATFISH for me! The hush puppies are famous and rightfully so. The only possible improvement would be some honey butter on the side. And be sure to try the vinegar slaw -- it is unique!

The waitress was fabulous. But the food was awful. Very unsatisfied to say the least.

The food is delicious. The people that work there are very friendly. The atmosphere is very nice. Worth the trip.

Fish wasn't good the fries were cold and old

Granny's reopened on Mother's Day weekend and is going strong. We ate there tonight and the food is as good or better than ever. The wait staff is wearing masks and gloves. Slnce reopening, the crowds are large - even on Thursday night. That's testimony to being a great country restaurant.

Fantastic traditional fried fish joint. If you are in the Coffee County area and love catfish, this is where you have to go. It's a little out of the way, but well worth the drive.

Great out of the way restaurant literally in the middle of nowhere. Trout, catfish, frog legs and hush puppies are the specialties. Worth the trip if you like fish and have a GPS to get you home.

If you like cat fish and hush puppies this is the place. Menu also offers a variety of other entrees if cat fish isn't your thing. Great staff, fun rustic decor and great reasonable prices. We'll go again!

Second time there because i couldn't remember were it was... 9 years ago i ate there and im was glad i found the mom and pop resturant beside the cave. Food and service are amazing.

If you're ever rolling through Tullahoma, Tennessee i highly recommend you stop for dinner at granny fishs! This place is so cool from the decor to the area in the woods it is located and the amazing food they offer! Hush puppies to die for! Catfish was amazing!! I will surely be back on my next visit to Tennessee!!

The catfish was good. The grilled chicken was good. The trout had a lot of flavor without that fishy. Granny Fishes served is is and was the absolute sweetest lady! So precious! We'll be back!!

This place is great. I have been coming here since 1986. Friendly service and great food. I usually get the combo plate with grilled trout fillet and whole fried catfish with Granny’s slaw. Don’t go too close to closing time or they may be out of baked potatoes.

Great food. I had the whole fried catfish, and my wife had the fillets. Next time we will probably share a plate because the portions are so big. Appetizers were wonderful as well. We were with a group, and we shared fried mushrooms, fried pickles, and the free hush puppies. There are also other dishes such as chicken hamburger steak and frog legs.

The hush puppies are good. The fried pie was terrible. Ordered peach but didn't taste anything like that. The catfish was ok. The fries were good. The slaw was not. Very friendly staff and remember to bring cash.

This food.... OMG I dont even know where to start. Trout, catfish, froglegs. "Poolroom" slaw. They call it "granny's slaw" and white beans. Food so good, make you wanna slap somebody. Mmm mmm.....mmmmmm. And for dessert, homemade fried pies and homemade cobbler. But be aware CASH OR CHECK ONLY!
